James C. Simmons, Q.C., ASM

Jim moved to Sudbury and joined Shea, Mossop, Stoner, Weaver, the predecessor of Weaver, SimmonsLLP in 1970.  He has practiced, and continues to practice, throughout Ontario ever since.

Jim’s practice has been principally devoted to civil litigation involving personal injury, negligence, insurance issues of all types, commercial litigation, professional negligence, inquests and Occupational Health and Safety matters. Throughout his career, Jim has appeared before Courts at the trial and appeal levels, and continues to appear before Courts and Boards throughout Ontario.

He has extensive experience in matters involving the most serious personal injuries imaginable. He has the support of a very talented team of professionals with whom he works. He and the team bring matters to conclusion in proper and timely fashion.

His trial work throughout Ontario has included many jury trials which have been taken to Judgment. The enthusiasm and dedication in all matters undertaken is shared by all working with him. Jim and his associates like nothing better than a new challenge requiring a floatplane visit wherever needed to best serve the client.
