Prior to attending law school, Andrew worked in a clerical capacity in the various departments of a Toronto-based corporate law firm gaining invaluable exposure to, and tremendous insight into, the practice of law. Andrew then moved to England where he completed his Bachelor of Laws at the University of Exeter, before moving to Europe’s financial hub to complete his Master of Laws at University College London, focusing on corporate finance, corporate governance, secured transactions, and commercial trusts. Upon returning home to Canada to prepare for the bar examinations, Andrew volunteered extensively at Pro Bono Ontario’s civil litigation clinic and assisted the then Director of Corporate Projects with the creation of the organization’s corporate clinic for small and starting businesses. Andrew has led seminars for Sudbury’s Regional Business Centre, speaking to local business owners about the fundamental components of contract law, the importance of corporate structures, and how to avoid commonly litigated commercial disputes. Andrew now joins the Corporate and Commercial Department at Weaver, Simmons LLP where he advises on transactional matters across Northern Ontario.
